Or how flipping businesses can get you big money!

Flipping small businesses could be one of the smartest, and most overlooked ways to build real wealth.
After reading an article in Forbes magazine about the Forbes BLK 50 billionaires and the wealthiest African Americans, two things stood out. The first one is that it was only as of the 90's that an African American became a billionaire. The second one is that many of those on the list built their fortunes through equity investment businesses, in other words, owning and scaling companies.
So I looked into it. In simple terms, equity means ownership. Instead of just saving money, you buy a small business, grow its value, and either keep it or sell it for a profit.
So equity investment strategy = you invest in small businesses + increase their value and either keep them for cash flow or sell them for profit. That’s how business flipping works.
Not forgetting, it can also mean finding a promising business and helping it grow by investing your money in it, in exchange of shares.
However, the flipping route seems to be a good one, Here’s the basic idea: start with capital. Buy a small but promising business, for example, a barber shop for around $150,000. Refresh the space, build a strong brand, introduce premium services, and grow annual revenue to roughly $500,000 with a large profit margin too. After four or five years, you could sell it for more than you paid for or franchise it and expand.

Repeat the process.

Repeat the process across different small businesses and industries, i.e buying a corner store and doing the same, refurbishing it to look trendy, offer exclusive products. For added protection, structure everything under a holding company. You can also reinvest profits into diversified assets like the S&P 500 to build long-term wealth.
To remember:
Money is cash. Investing is putting money to work. Equity is ownership that grows in value.
It’s just a theory — but it’s a powerful one. Would you try it?
